	FASTBALL Formed in 1994 in Austin, TX, Fastball combine a fondness for melodic, Beatles-inspired pop with the alternative aesthetic of late-'90s mainstream rock. Guitarist/vocalist Miles Zuniga, bassist/vocalist Tony Scalzo, and drummer Joe Shuffield — all veterans of the underground rock scene — originally banded together under the name Magneto U.S.A., whose music became popular in the Austin region. After signing with Hollywood Records, the musicians changed their name to Fastball and released their debut album, Make Your Mama Proud, in 1996. Fastball website
	ERIC HUTCHINSON Few stories underscore the radical changes experienced by the post-millennial music industry than that of Eric Hutchinson. Originally nurtured and then abandoned by an established label started by a pop superstar, Hutchinson then got discovered by a much larger audience while unsigned, thanks to an online plug by a notorious Hollywood gossip. Born and raised in the Maryland suburbs of Washington, D.C., Hutchinson first began performing in public while attending Emerson College, a performing arts-oriented university located in downtown Boston. 	SAM ROBERTS BAND Canadian singer/songwriter Sam Roberts released his first true debut in 2002, following a popular demo he had made in Montreal. Before that point, he had been a violin player who eventually moved on to guitar and started a rock band with his friends. The band didn't get any positive reactions from record labels and disbanded in 1998, but that didn't stop Roberts from going back to Canada and beginning to write again. He put together the aforementioned demo before sitting down to record his debut, The Inhuman Condition, which was released in 2002 and became the best-selling independent release in Canadian history.  Sam Roberts Band website
	KATIE HERZIG Katie Herzig broke out on her own after eight years as the frontwoman for Newcomers Home. Herzig was no stranger to the solo game, having released her first solo album, Watch Them Fall, in 2004, so it was no surprise when, following the dissolution of Newcomers Home in 2006, Herzig put together a second album, Weightless, which was released that summer. Comprised of quirky, heartfelt songs that nodded to twangy, warm-voiced artists like Devon Sproule and Neko Case, the album generated quite a bit of critical buzz, and several songs from the album found their way onto network television shows, notably Grey's Anatomy. Herzig spent the next two years playing gigs, collaborating with other artists, and writing new material, and she even managed to snag a 2007 Grammy nomination for one of her songs, "Heaven's My Home" (performed by the Duhks. FROM BOSTON:
Take Route 1 north to Route 95 north to exit 57. Follow signs to downtown Newburyport.

FROM ROUTE 495:
Follow Route 495 to Route 95  south to exit 57. Follow signs to downtown Newburyport.

Waterfront Park is located directly behind the Firehouse Center for the Arts in Market Square.

Parking
There are 3 municipal lots downtown - which are free. 
They are located at Green & Merrimac Streets, State and Harris Streets (next to the Library) and on Prince Place.

There are 2 lots along the Waterfront run by the Newburyport Redevelopment Authority which will be charging $8 for parking. They are located at either side of Waterfront Park along Merrimac Street (West Lot) and Water Street (East Lot)

You may also park in legal spots on the street. If you park in a nearby neighborhood, please be respectful of residents and all parking laws - do not block fire hydrants or driveways. Police will ticket or tow all cars which are parked in illegal spaces.
