In 2015, Newburyport was named a ‘Cultural District’ by the state – one of only 32 in the state!
According to the Mass Cultural Council, “These cultural districts help local arts, humanities, and science organizations improve the quality and range of their public programs so that more local families can benefit from them. They enhance the experience for visitors and thus attract more tourist dollars and tax revenue. And they attract artists, cultural organizations, and entrepreneurs of all kinds - enhancing property values and making communities more attractive.”
Now that is something to celebrate! Stop by our office and pick up a cultural district map and explore the many cultural sights and sounds in our community. You can read more by visiting our website!
