Alnoba Receives New Certification
Below is a letter from Sandra Fogwell of Alnoba:
“Alnoba is pleased to announce that our gathering and event space has officially been given Passive House Certification as a Passive House Institute (PHI) Low Energy Standard Building. This is a wonderful recognition of the commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency made by Alnoba founders Alan and Harriet Lewis.
Passive House certification is a highly rigorous standard for energy efficiency. It is granted to only the most low-energy buildings. At Alnoba, our building was specifically designed to reduce energy by 75-90% compared to conventional structures of a similar size. With this official recognition by the Passive House Institute, Alnoba becomes the only Passive House certified conference center in New England.
We’re honored to be able to offer New England families and businesses a more responsible and sustainable way to organize their meetings and events, from the efficiency of our building to our solar fields, use of green products, and the sustainable land management practices we apply to caring for our 400 acre property.
