Below is a letter from Mary Williamson, Vice President of Development at Anna Jaques Hospital.

AJH has significant need for personal protection equipment (PPE) as a result of world-wide shortages and prolonged demand as we meet the COVID-19 pandemic.

If you or your business has unopened and unused items on the list below, please email Mary Williamson with brand/model information and the quantity of the items you can donate.

Preferred Donations:

-N95 respirators
-Surgical/procedural masks

-Face shield masks
-Disposable gowns
-Goggles/eye protection
-Bleach wipes
-Non-bleach wipes
-Nitrile gloves
-Hand sanitizer

All donated items will be inspected to ensure that they can safely be used for patient care purposes. The Anna Jaques Community Health Foundation office at 18 Highland Avenue will accept these donations, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm. Call 978-463-1176 with questions or to make other arrangements.

Thank you to those businesses that have already made contributions! Your generosity will help keep our dedicated staff equipped to care for those affected by COVID-19 and all those who face other urgent medical needs and illnesses during this time of strained resources.

A note to restaurants and other food-related businesses. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept donations of prepared food for our employees at this time. We are with you and will remember your generous offers when this challenge is over. We can get through this together.

I do not have any of the necessary equipment. I’m a lawyer and can’t donate any of these things. Is there anything else that I might be able to contribute?

Me too. I can’t donate these things and I have no medical training whatsoever, but am willing to help in any way. How about a support team for the nurses and aides who are working or will work crazy hours in the next months. I could do almost anything to help out. I have a car, I can run errands. I can help out with tutoring HS math students if any of the nurses or aides have a kid at home who really needs help with Algebra I II Trig or the MCAS prep. Please let us know if we can do anything to help our neighbors who are exposing themselves to this deadly virus to keep all of us safe.
