Annual Meeting & Awards Ceremony

  • Advocates to increase and promote opportunities for safety, best practices, and resources

Educator of the Year (Teacher or Administrator of the Year)

  • Advocates for exceptional student outcomes
  • Enriches the lives of students through positive influence
  • Promotes educational accomplishment beyond the classroom providing models of excellence
  • Developed and implemented innovative teaching programs in or outside of the traditional classroom to keep students engaged, motivated, and learning through global pandemic in 2020
  • Serves as a teacher, administrator of a public, private or charter school

Non-Profit of the Year

  • Advocates for strategic partnerships, to achieve greater results than one organization could achieve on its own

  • Under 10 employees within the organization

Community Environmental Stewardship Award

  • Implements Initiatives that focus on global or domestic environmental topics including (but not limited to): climate solutions, conservation, energy efficiency and clean energy, fleet and transportation, manufacturing design and innovation, resource stewardship, or waste and materials management
  • Promotes practices and programs that protect and enhance the Greater Newburyport area natural, cultural, historical, and human assets and resources

Navigation Award (Special 2020 Award)

  • Will recognize the ways that member businesses, groups, or individual community leaders adapted to a changed environment in the face of Covid-19 - pivoting their businesses/work/actions and ultimately, persevering through the crisis
  • Demonstrated excellent leadership skills personally and professionally
    Exhibited resiliency and futuristic initiative that supported solution-based ideas and action in response to challenges arising out of the 2020 global pandemic
  • Pivoted from their normal operations to make a positive difference in our community throughout the 2020 global pandemic

Young Professional Leadership Award

  • Between the ages of 21-40
  • Must work in a Greater Newburyport Chamber of Commerce business
  • Demonstrates excellent leadership skills at work and in the community
  • Exhibits futuristic initiative to create a movement of positive social change
  • Participates in outreach/community engagement activities
  • Created, implemented, and led a program, project, or effort to support the community or other Chamber member businesses during the 2020 global pandemic
