Two Weeks of Special Events Highlight the Affordable Assisted Living’s Opportunities

Affordable Assisted Living’s Opportunities

The Assisted Living Center – Salisbury kicks off two weeks of events and celebrations for the 25th anniversary of this non-profit organization September 8 – 19, culminating with a community wide party on Thursday evening, September 19 on the campus at 19 Beach Road, Salisbury.

“We believe that we have put together a schedule of events that celebrates our residence, our dedicated staff and all the great people that have called this home, but also provides us an opportunity to highlight to the community how different we are in our concept of senior living” said Arthur Signorelli, president of the organization. “Our celebrations feature our love for the creative arts, welcomes the talents of neighbors and demonstrates our commitment to being a responsible partner in the communities around us.”

“We are often called a ‘hidden gem’”, said Tom Higgins, executive director.  “We encourage members of the community to visit us and participate in our celebrations.  Many consumers and agencies either do not know that we exist because we quietly and efficiently move forward every day – demonstrating our creativity and determination – without the structure and limitations of large, corporate senior care facilities.”

“So much of the success of this non-profit over the 25 years is due to the generosity of the community and philanthropic organizations who recognize our commitment to providing affordable assisted living residential opportunity to those who may be shut out of the high price facilities that surround us” said Signorelli.  “We hope that this celebration creates new friendships.”

“We try to light a spark in our residents and the dedicated people that provide support to seniors every day.” said Kim Finn, lifestyle coordinator. “We offer a combination of traditional activities and programs that enhance and complement our residents’ special interests and talents.  Then we round out the weeks with exciting entertainment offerings like our well known cabaret lounge piano bar performances by some of the best professional entertainers from Maine to Palm Springs.”

Assisted Living Center – Salisbury is a residence that has provided quality assisted living care to hundreds of residents from Maine to Massachusetts and beyond.
