Cabot House Furniture and Paula Estey Gallery Team Up
CSaugus Store Now Offers Contemporary Art and Photography to Accompany Fine Furniture
Newburyport, MA, June 21, 2019 – Discerning customers can now find curated, contemporary artwork and photography to compliment top quality furniture at the Saugus location of Cabot House. Paula Estey Gallery (PEG) has extended its presence outside of the Newburyport-based gallery by installing a variety of its artists’ work in the Cabot House showroom. Visitors are able to shop for American, bench-made craftsman furniture along with high-end custom art, all in one place.
“This is a terrific collaboration,” said Gallery Owner Paula Estey. We share a commitment to supporting American craftmanship and personal service. Our artists get additional exposure to a larger audience, and customers benefit by envisioning a complete display so that they can better design and decorate their homes.
Artists that are on display include: Julia Purinton, oil painting; David Stone, photography; Gay Cox, oil painting; Bonita LeFlore, acrylic painting; Carol Baum, watercolor; Zsuzsanna Donnell, acrylic; Kay Bice, photography; and Lisa Goren, watercolor.
Cabot House is family owned and operated and has been the leader in luxury furniture since 1912. “We continually update our stores to showcase the latest styles and trends while staying true to our roots. We seek out the best in construction and green technology to meet and exceed our client’s needs. With the addition of PEG’s distinctive art along with upscale home goods, Cabot House is a destination for fine furniture and art at a price point that is very reasonable for the quality,” says Audrey Quenneville, Saugus Showroom Manager.
CEO Robert “Bobby” Bendetson grew up in the business working alongside his dad, Norris, whose great-grandfather began the business with a small furniture store in Haverhill, Massachusetts. For the past forty years, Bobby has traveled to the High Point, N.C. Furniture Market, the largest home furnishing trade show in the world, to view the newest product launches from the luxury featured brands we sell and scout out new ones. Along with the Cabot House team, Bobby selects the best products in national and international design. His wife JoAnn is the Director of Marketing and launched the new website in December, 2018.
Inspired by his family’s tradition, Austin joined Cabot House in the spring of 2018. He is in Cabot House’s rotational program spending time in operations, sales, and leasing. Austin graduated from Tufts University in 2017 where he studied Economics and Entrepreneurship and was a captain of the Tufts Men’s Tennis team.
