Known for its beaches and summer activities, Salisbury is a coastal beach town located just north of Newburyport. However, there’s much more to Salisbury than just the beach! Spend a day in Salisbury exploring their restaurant scene, walking trails, nightlife, and more.

Start your day in Salisbury with breakfast from Groundswell Surf Café. Grab a coffee and acai bowl or breakfast sandwich and enjoy your meal overlooking Salisbury Beach.

After breakfast, visit By The Sea Gifts for unique gifts and accessories for you and your home inspired by the sea.

For lunch, head over to Bucciarelli’s Butcher Shop & Deli or Joyful Harvest Market and pick up a to-go sandwich, soup, or salad. Bring your lunch to the Salisbury side of the Gillis Bridge Connector Trail where you can have a picnic in the waterfront pocket park. If you prefer a sit-down lunch, visit The Deck or Portside Waterfront Restaurant and Bar to enjoy lunch overlooking the Merrimack River. After lunch, spend the afternoon exploring the Coastal Trails, such as the Eastern Marsh Trail or the Ghost Trail, or visit nearby Salisbury Beach.

For dinner, stop by Capri Seaside Italian Kitchen & Pizzeria or Seaglass Restaurant and Lounge. Capri offers authentic Italian food while Seaglass is known for its coastal New England fare and panoramic ocean views. Next, catch a show or concert at Blue Ocean Music Hall for an intimate live music experience.

End the night with drinks and dancing at SurfSide or an ice cream cone from Swell Willey’s.
