Fill-a-Bag Book Sale Happening at Amesbury Public Library

The Friends of the Amesbury Public Library are having a Fill-a-Bag Book Sale on Saturday, April 28, 2018 from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Friends’ Book Shop, located downstairs at the Amesbury Public Library.

Patrons can purchase a reusable shopping bag for $15 and fill it with books, movies, music and puzzles for adults, teens and children. Those who are current members of the Friends, or who sign up that morning, will receive a discount of $5 off each bag.

Chris Conant, Book Shop Manager said “We love having our annual Fill-a-Bag Book Sale. It’s a great deal for those looking to expand their book and movie collections, and it helps us make more room for new donations that we receive. We’re so grateful to everyone who donates items to our shop, which is a major piece of our yearly fundraising to support the library.”

Proceeds of the book sale will benefit the Friends of the Amesbury Public Library, a non-profit organization that exists to support library programming. The Friends of the Library accepts clean, dry and gently used books, movies, music, games and puzzles.

About the Friends of the Amesbury Public Library
The mission of the Friends of the Amesbury Public Library, as a volunteer organization, is to support the Library and staff, to enhance the resources and services of the Library, and to enrich our community. We focus our attention on the local and extended community of library patrons and accomplish our mission through collaboration, fundraising, allocation of funds, and sponsorship of programs for the community. As Friends of the Amesbury Public Library, we believe in: literacy, life-long learning, and the enjoyment of reading. We also believe that the Library is more than bricks, bookshelves, and whispers; it is people, programs and an island of trust. These fundamental beliefs underlie and support our commitment to fulfilling the Mission of the Friends of the Amesbury Public Library.
