Each year the chamber awards the best of the best members in specific industries. These award winners have been voted on by a nominating committee comprised of chamber board members, that looks closely at the involvement of each business in the chamber, and in our greater region. Many of the winners will be present during the event, and if we are lucky, they each will share some wisdom when they come up to receive their award.
Non-Profit of the Year
Arts, culture, education, non-profit, community, or civic organization who deliver a needed and valued service to the greater Newburyport community.

Any member business group, or large organization that has created excellence in a specific industry in our region and is an upstanding employer in the community.

Retailer of the Year
Any member retail store that has consistently excelled in providing high quality products and exceptional customer service to the community.

Any member restaurant, bar, cafe, or eatery that consistently has the highest quality food and beverages and is an exemplary member in the community.

Any member business that opened within the past three years and is an outstanding addition to both economic vibrancy and the community as a whole.

A staple business in the community. Someone who has been open and thriving for over 10 years in our community. A true anchor in the greater Newburyport area!

A member business that is recognized as the overall leader within the greater Newburyport area. Complete excellence, quality, and distinction in every way.

Edward G. Molin
Community Leadership Award
In 2004, the Chamber of Commerce established a Community Leadership Award. The criteria for the award are that the recipient be from the greater Newburyport area who has contributed personally to the business community and the community at large over an extended period of time; a person who has displayed a consistent and tangible effort and involvement to improve the community and who has demonstrated evidence of strong leadership and involvement with civic organizations. Tradition dictates to keep the identity secret. The first award was given to Ed Molin, then changed to "The Ed Molin Community Leadership Award" in his honor.
